I have a 99 Camaro with a Dynomax Cat-Back. I live in VA (no emissions testing I guess). Which is better? What are the pros and cons of each?
Thanks

I heard that most of the "rice" sound from our exhaust is due to the cat.
But I've never heard an exhaust system with the bullet muffler in place of the cat so......

eventually all states will switch over to emissions testings...just luckily, alabama is 15 years behind the rest of the world, i dont run a cat on any of my vehicles...i had an o/r pipe on the 3.4 with a resonator and it cut out on ALL popping and riceyness
I'm leaning towards the high flow cat but I also have some questions:
1. Will the high flow cat change the sound?
2. If I do put a high flow cat on, if I put a bullet muffler with the cat, will it change the tone any?
3. I have a dynomax super turbo muffler on there now and it is quiet now, if I put the bullet muffler in the I pipe, will my exhaust get any quieter or louder?
Hope I made some sense.....
Thanks for all the help guys.

Go with the Dynomax bullet muffler. Made my exhaust much better. I think 2002firebirdguy and I are the only ones that have done this so far. The bullet works great and is only 30 bucks.
1. Yes a highflow cat will give you a slightly deeper sound.
2. Yes it should be a little louder with just a cat and a bullet muffler
3. Isn't this the same question as #2?
I might be catching you wrong? Are you talking about just using the bullet muffler as your muffler? Or are you talking about putting it in conjunction with the dynomax super turbo and with a cat on to act as a resonator?
To be safe than sorry, I would say a high flow cat. It's illegal in ALL states to not have a cat. You'll never know when some butthole cop decides to look under your car to see if you have a cat. It can be a hefty fine UNLESS you make the cop think the bullet muffler is a "special" high flow cat. :D
No I was asking if I put a high flow cat on, bullet muffler in the I Pipe and my Dynomax Super Turbo muffler all together, will my exhaust sound any deeper/better?
Thanks for all the feedback guys!
