    ok,
i want to order an exhaust like withing the nest few days.

here are my shoices that i am considering:

Flowmaster catback for our 2.5 inch cars with a high flow cat and cut out or

flowmaster catback for you 3 inch cousins with a 3 inch highflow cat.

i know that the 2.5 will be alot easier to install but if i go forced induction i would want the 3 inch. Anyways how much more trouble would the 3 inch cat be to install instead of the 2.5 inch cat. And without the forced induction, havent decided whichway i will go yet, should i just get the 2.5 i wouldnt care about replacing it again down the road. and does anyone run their cutout bebore the cat? or generally right before the muffler. And will any high flow cat bolt right on or do we need a flange welded onto it?

    thanks
    eddie

If you have the choice to do it now I would get 3in. I'm going 2.5in just because I can't afford to buy another catback. As long as you aren't installing it yourself I wouldn't worry about how hard it is and let the shop worry about it. The cutout would be adequate right before the muffler like you said, right before it goes over the axle. As for the cat, i'd get it welded on. I had an exhaust shop clamp mine up and I didn't look at it when I took it back. It started making buzzing sounds and stuff. Make sure to tell the exhaust shop you go to, to make sure they weld everything together and not stick you with some clamping job. Once you go with the high flow cat you have a few options. I know some people on here don't like me bashing the catco's, if you do get one good luck to ya. If you want something a little better quality same price. Theres a guy on ebay, just type in carsound, he's selling a lot of cats. Just email him and ask him about a 94009. He's selling it for about $50 + shipping, the same as a catco. This carsound flows about 70cfm better, and is made more durable. If you really have the money and want to get the best you can, I can point out a few more good cats to you. Good luck buddy.

Thats kind of the dilemma i'm in. 3in would probably be better. But why put it into a 2.5in muffler? Get a 3in muffler and all 3in pipe, if you can afford it. I'm still deciding what I should do. I have a 2.5in ravin with tips and everything already welded. Do I buy a 3in muffler and go all 3in instead? Or just stick with 2.5 to save some money.

the reason im have to use the 2.5 is because i already have it and i have the tips welded on, do u think it is a good idea tomix 2.5 w/3 inch piping and 3" cat, or just go 2.5 everything
