  • Borla??

I just called borla and one of their techinicians told me that a 98+ v6 cat-back wont fit my 96 because the over-axle pipe wont fit properly, is he right, can i make it fit??

Borla makes a 98+ catback setup?

thought they only made the rear section setup.....

i know that the 93-97 z-28 system will work on your car, but the hangers wont line up.

I have the rear section on my 96......sounds damn good. No high rpm rasp.

I don't want to spend money on just a rear section, i want a full cat-back, but Borla themselves said 98+ wouldn't fit 96???

do a search on 3" systems vs. backpressure.

ive heard a lot of people say going with a 3" intermediate pipe with not much work done to your car will reduce the backpressure too much, resulting in torque loss.

        but i dunno....

This isn't really true, its a common misconception that a 3" will result in loss of torque. The decrease in backpressure, and increase in exhaust flow makes the engine run a little different, it almost feels more open, hard to explain. This is not a loss of torque, just an increase in efficiency.
