need help quick quick quick on muffler!!!!!

okay the flows 40 i got right now is just wayyyy too loud...
but i have an opportunity to get a Z28 muffler really cheap. i alraedy have the Z28 i pipe as my I pipe, would a Z28 muffler make for a much bigger restriction? if the muffler doesn't really make much difference, since i already got the Z pipe, would it not hurt performance as much?

it won't be a huge restiction. I suggest looking into getting a SS muffler at slponline.com either that or an 80 series, 3-chamber muffler.

I have a Z muffler... It won't flow nearly as well as the flowmaster. The 80 series will be just as loud or louder most likely.

If you can get a ws6 or ss muffler(they are one in the same), that would be a good budget solution.

People rave about their dynomax's, and they was cheap.

the z28 muffler is lame..why do you think the Z28 owners replace it? it doesnt flow for ****.

get yourself a dynomax muffler and be happy. i have a complete 3 inch catback including high flow cat and when my car is placed next to my friends flowmaster 80 series only exhaust..i cant even hear my car over his.. its that quiet. after the muffler and motor get hot..you will have to bend down and put your ear near the pipe to hear the exhaust..

BUT..i love my dynomax and the cold starts are sweet

Try a delta flow from flowmaster. Those are rumored to be quiter, while still giving you the same performance
