  • Do I have a bad baffle in my flowmaster muffler?

I had a new oilpan put on my car a few weeks ago and the shop had to drop the exhaust to do it. A few days later I stared hearing a rattling sound.

I took the car back thinking it was an exhaust leak but they told me it was a baffle in my flowmaster muffler.

My muffler is a flowmaster 80 with 65k on it. Does this sound (no pun intended) correct? Could I have a bad baffle?

    Thanks.

it is a possibility i suppose, but the flowmaster i had on my 2000 camaro started doing the same thing after less than 1000 miles. that is why i went with vforce for my 02.

I also have a bad baffle in my muffler too. I bought the American thunder kit and from day one i was getting this horrible rattle and vibration. I took it to the shop 4 times thinking it was just an installation error but turns out to be a bad baffle. I bought it in Febuaryfrom Summit, it has a year warranty so im buying just the muffler and then sending the old one back and then getting a refund for the muffler. Im really disgusted with Blowmaster!!! Im at the 700 dollar mark with this cat-back exhaust, 300 for the kit and 400 for install and to keep trying to fix it!!!
