I'm looking to order my new exhaust system, I'm going with a 3" magnaflow system. I want to run a cat but un-sure what one will work and not give me SES lights. Anyone know the part number of the CAT I need. I have a 2002 firebird 3.8
check under the car for an air tube on the CAT. My auto tranny car does not have an air tube. If you have a manual trans you might have an air tube.
I get a SES code from this set up. Ghen going to full 3" conversions some people get the code some don't. (i think most people do)
A sim costs 45 bucks. it works great.
I got my magnaflow 15620 from ebay with a free cat and free shipping. I asked him for a #94039 because it comes with a rear o2 sensor boss in the cat. this saves a step and a few bucks because I did not have to have an O2 bung welded in the LT1 S pipe.

If you have less than 80,000 miles on your car an exhaust shop can not replace your perfectly fine CAT. the entire system is VERY easy to install as a do it yourself project. http://home.comcast.net/~grayman99/M...20-install.htm
