I was looking at putting dynomax exhaust on my car since I can get a good deal on their stuff, but what setup are you guys running from them? The 98+ v8 kit is expensive and i'd have to get a new cat. they do have just 2.5 in, dual 2.5 out mufflers, but the tialpipes that I've found they carry for them are turndown still like the factory single exhaust tailpipe. What have you guys done for your dynomax setups??!?!?! Please help!!!

Just buy the 2.5in dual 2.5 out, that's what I did, then have your exhaust place make your tail pipes for you. Any exhaust shop can do it. Cost me $50 to make the tips and weld everything on. So 50 for that plus 45 for the muffler = very cheap but great sounding exhaust :D 97 White Pontiac Firebird 3.8 A4
Mods- 2.75\" exhaust, Dynomax muffler, magnaflow cat, SLP CAI, Hypertech 160* thermo, Fan switch
Suspension-Kumho Ecsta 712\'s, 32mm/19mm sway bars

Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don\'t fail us now.
-Elwood Blues

So I take it that you didn't have mandrel bends then. do you have any pics of it for me to see? Oh, and which muffler did you use? there are two with the correct dimentions, the Ultraflow Welded, and the Super Turbo. Thanks for any help.98 White T-Top Firebird
w/ the crome 5 star rims
FRA, Smoothed stock lid,
Dynomax Super Turbo Exhaust
http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=346111

nevermind the question of which muffler, I just notice you said in your sig. I'm still curious if you have any other pics than what is in your sig.98 White T-Top Firebird
w/ the crome 5 star rims
FRA, Smoothed stock lid,
Dynomax Super Turbo Exhaust
http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=346111

They are mandrel bent I think, they're not crimp bends that's for d@mn sure. It's a perfect curve, that's all I know. I don't have any other pics other than on my cardomain site, and my dad is out of town with his digi cam until sat, I can get some better pics then if you want. And no it's not louder than flowmaster, but it is MUCH less ricey about 4k rpm. It's a nice mellow sound all the way through the rpm range, but not throaty down low like the flowmaster, I like it better, some don't, just personal preference.97 White Pontiac Firebird 3.8 A4
Mods- 2.75\" exhaust, Dynomax muffler, magnaflow cat, SLP CAI, Hypertech 160* thermo, Fan switch
Suspension-Kumho Ecsta 712\'s, 32mm/19mm sway bars

Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don\'t fail us now.
-Elwood Blues

hey whiteshark, how much did those hooker tips cost and where did you get them, I've seen them before and also the whole cat-back hooker makes, but I just want the tips, I think they look pretty sweet 98 White T-Top Firebird
w/ the crome 5 star rims
FRA, Smoothed stock lid,
Dynomax Super Turbo Exhaust
http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=346111

I'm not sure you can get just the tips. I picked mine up from ls1.com from a guy who bought the entire hooker cat back but never put the tips on because he didn't like them. I paid $50 shipped for em. I'd suggest looking at the for sale section at camaroz28.com and ls1.com I'm sure you could find something. If you do find some, coat the inside with something (black high temp engine paint or something) before installing them or the inside will rust.97 White Pontiac Firebird 3.8 A4
Mods- 2.75\" exhaust, Dynomax muffler, magnaflow cat, SLP CAI, Hypertech 160* thermo, Fan switch
Suspension-Kumho Ecsta 712\'s, 32mm/19mm sway bars

Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don\'t fail us now.
-Elwood Blues
