  • Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler?

Does anyone know about or have any experience with the Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler by Maremont?

I was curious because I have one for my car sitting in my garage. I was going to put it on, but I wound up going with a Flowmaster 80 instead. I recently found this information about the muffler, and it seemed pretty intersting.

I just wanted to know if it is worth holding onto to sell or something. I'm pretty sure it has less than 6 months of use on it.

From what I've heard, Vortex mufflers sound good...I almost got one, but went w/ an 80-series Flowmaster instead. IMO, the Vortex muffler & the 80-series Flow sound similar when accelerating...however, on the car I heard, the Vortex seemed to have more of a popping sound on deceleration than I do w/ the Flowmaster. But the Vortex did sound good...

                  BTW...check out the following website:
                  http://www.geocities.com/andrewb773ncc/

Andrew has a sound clip of his 3800 w/ Vortex & a clip of my 3800 w/ Flowmaster on the same page for comparison. Check it out.

                  Hope this helps.

Do you mean Spintech? If not, what's a spiral flow?
