This is the famous "Loud Mouth" cat-back exhaust system for the 1998-2002 LS1-powered Camaro and Firebird. The system replaces all the pipes from the "y-pipe" with new mandrel bent stainless steel tubing for free flow and an SLP designed resonator, which replaces the muffler in the stock system.
this is from tbyrne motorsports. will this loudmouth fit my 96? and isnt the y pipe after the exhuast manifolds...so wouldnt that also remove the cat?? thanks for your help guys. sorry for being dumber than you ;)
The confusion surrounds me
change is imminent
if I were they
we could be great
if anything it will not replace the cat. it is a retarde way of saying that it comes with a S pipe. if so then that is a good thing. You will also need a new cat...that is also a good thing...becuase you will get a 3x3 hi flow cat. your car will be real loud...very loud...but it will breath very well.
(on modern cars such as the LS1 the CAT is welded to the Y pipe at the factory.)

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
