I never tried to start an arguement with you. I don't agree with speedy-v6. I don't believe you wasted any money.
This board is about factual info. I was simply pointing out (seconding the notion actually) that the factory coating looks the same as the jet-hot coating.
Then YOU started telling me how much YOU paid for them and how YOU probably paid less than me etc. Its all there. Read it. You got smart first. I am going to stand up for myself.
This needs to stop here on the board. If you have any problems with me pointing out that the pacesetter ceramic coating looks just like the jet-hot coating, or you want to hash out financial details, send me an IM or an E-Mail.
I am not looking for an argument, but maybe someone saw this post and will save a few bucks and some hassle by ordering the headers coated from pacesetter if they want them coated.

I agree completely. Except that I never said he wasted money....only that he spent more. I don't think its possible to waste money if its what you want to do with it. I just think that the pacesetter ceramic coating is great and there is no need to get Jet Hot. What people do with their money is their business...I just don't like people giving people the wrong impression about the pacesetter coating and that it is crappy.

i never said anything concerning the BASHING of pacesetters coatings.
i was just stateing THAT i got them done by jet hot.
and that i got a good deal on them.
just mention you are a cz28 member..and bam. discount.
just to inform you. i got my headers BRAND NEW off a friend online. for significantly cheaper than off the shelves. so i had no choice to have them coated by pacesetter.

Cool. Alright back on topic.
Hints for install....
Heat sheilds SUCK. getting them off is a pain in the anus. But keep on track, its worth it.
The stock paper gaskets will work fine. They don't leak on me.
Get the y-pipe welded to the cat. Much better setup.
You may have trouble with the EGR leaking. Try to bend it just right so it fits in the header squarely, and not at an angle. Maybe even fab up some kind of gasket. Mine doesn't leak now.
After installing the headers, go for a long drive and get them good and hot. Put on some gloves and tighten ALL of the bolts. Do this periodically over the next month or so. Same with the flanges for the Y-Pipe. It seats everything up nicely.
Your going to love having them on. My engine runs a few degrees colder now too. You will crap your pants with joy when you see how easy it is to reach the plugs now. .
Enjoy.
