On the CIA site, it says that their 3.8 headers are only for 98+ cars... is this the case, or will they fit on a 95-97 3.8???

But why on Earth would you want to pay so much for headers? What a waste. Just get some Pacesetters and send the rest of the money to me.Matt

Wasn't for me tho, it's for a friend who was wondering... the pacesetters are what's on my list (but I don't know if I want to do those, do SFCs , or do springs next...)97 Camaro
160* thermostat, z28 shock/springs, 3\" Magnaflow cat, 3\" Magnaflow catback, LT1 disc/limslip/3.42 rear, SLP CAI
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/609893

Headers are a bit of a pain, the bolts for the stock manifolds often break making the swap even worse. SFC's are beautiful you will notice extremely less twist in the chasi thus reducing squeeks and rattle while helping your handling tremendously. if you do SFC's and a strutt bar you will be very happy with the results. springs and shocks are another good option but i prefer to stiffen the chasi first. Headers do offer decent gains and give the 3800 a much better exhaust tone but i dont think they are worth the aggrivation to change out. that said i feal the quality of the CIA headers are much better than pacesetter's.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

They help with flow by having a more efficient routing of the exhaust gasses and because of the larger diameter primaries. IMO dont do headers untill you have done a catback and i also recomend a new cat as well. Untill then the headers wont really help that much. If the sound of your exhaust is really important to you get headers because they make a world of difference if you have a full catback, if not then there are better products to buy to increase hp.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

Headers on stock catback would be a waste. If you can't afford both, just go with the catback.Matt

Agreed... you won't mess anything up but you'd most likely be happier with a catback as a start.97 Camaro
160* thermostat, z28 shock/springs, 3\" Magnaflow cat, 3\" Magnaflow catback, LT1 disc/limslip/3.42 rear, SLP CAI
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/609893

The stock 200hp is great for daily driving and enough to beat most cars on the road. As for hp it really depends. If you built an all out roller stroked out motor you could probably get close to 300whp na. If you go the FI rout 400+hp can be achieved. Nitrous can get some impressive #'s as well. its really all about the amount of money you spend and how you spend it.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard
