Did you have the air deflector installed with yours?

I decided not to install mine because I didn't like the idea of not having enough air going to the radiator.

eddie B my man, this was my first performance mod i have gotten. In my opinion it was worth it. I got the package with both the ram air and whisper lid. Cost me 260. I installed intake first and with that i had a power increase at high rpm. A little sucking noise too. With the lid which i installed the next day i def heard a loudness in my engine sound....Together with the power increase and sound increase im pleased. I love just revvin my engine in neutral to hear the difference from wen it was stock to now. IF you have the money do it up. www.tbyrne.com

How did you cut your hole in your air box? I ordered the same kit and was just curious on the easiest way to get the hole cut for the ram air.

To be honest I did notice a difference in engine sound too but didn't notice any performance gains at all, at least not from a roll

to cut the plastic out of the air box assembly i used an electric hack saw. at certain points it was a pain but got the job done. And also for whoever asked i did install the ram air plate.

I have been hearing that the Ram Air Kits are a joke. Not really any increased horsepower. Should I send it back and just get the Whisper Lid? Maybe buy something else with the money I spent on it...

The ram air kit knocked off around .2 tenths on my ride, but every car reacts to mods differently.

yeah..everycar reacts differnt to mods. In my case i saw sum power. Wasnt ne thing major but its there. Its all up to u on buyin the kit. The lid gives the nice sound. IF thats all u want out of it just get the lid and a filter.

Thanks Camary...
I definatly want to do this but my funds are trippin...I havn't done a mod to my car yet either except exhaust...so maybe I'll feel a little more gain...
Keep it real. Glad its doing its thing for ya.

If you had those two mods first and felt power, mine should too. After doing the exhaust first, the Fast Toys Ram Air and Whisper lid should give me a better power gain since it would work together. By the way, is the Whisper Ram Air the same as the Fast Toys Ram Air? They both have the block off plate and everything?

Yep, but the whisper brand cost less.
