• slp "loudmouth" w/ lt1 pipe?

will the loudmouth exhaust work w/ our cars if we use the lt1 pipe? I really want to get the slp exhaust since it looks like it'll make tons more power in the long run w/ heads/cam and sc. I heard dominic put this on his car. Did you? how did it fit? was there any problems w/ the install? thanks for the help.

I'm curious to hear how it sounds as well, I'm considering dropping my Flowmaster, and the Loud Mouth has always seemed like a good option. Also, what is the pipe size on that kit?

I'm going to do the loudmouth and the LT1 S-pipe since it has been done before and it is known to fit like a charm - especially with a 3" Cat.

the loudmouth is 3" all the way. dominic, what 3" in/out cat are you gonna get? I may get a high-flow cat when i do cat-back also. btw, isn't it illegal to replace a cat unless it has over 50,00 miles on it or is damaged?

          Hit a pothole????

Anyways, I am sure what matters is there is a Cat there.

          Catco Cat should work fine...

I agree, any 3" cat is plenty hi flow for a v6 (350cfm-400cfm max air volume isnt a lot so you really dont need to worry. A nice cheap 3" Catco will be awesome - and its most likely what I will also go with.

I called SLP and asked about the loudmouth on my 3.8 , and he said it wouldn't sound very good on a V6 at all....... that's just what the guy said, but i'd love to hear how it actually does sound.

Yes, Tbyrne just confirmed that it should arrive anytime today. What i am doing is putting a Bullet muffler in place of my cat (since i have a cutout on there right now w/ no cat) and i have the S pipe from Thunder racing for the LT1. It's under LT1, Exhaust, Accessories, at the way bottom of the page, for 70 bucks shipped. It has a 2 bolt flange on one end of it. I just put my car up on the ramps and it will fit PERFECTLY, i cannot wait for the Loudmouth to get here so i can cut it all off and put on the Loudmouth. The only flack with the Thunder S pipe is that there is no o2 bung welded in, but that is easily fixed for 8 bucks at any muffler shop. It will be hard to give up the Spintech but i need a full 3" stainless system. Carl, you're welcome. :D

Oh and if you have not heard that Loudmouth on Rich97W68's car, he posted a video and is filming more this weekend. It sounds DAMN good! I can't wait to add on the CIA headers to mine (whenever they get here  ).

sorry to hear that scott doesn't like the exhaust. BTW, would a 3" cut-out get a few more ponies out of this exhaust? I'd put it either right before the resonator, or right after the cat?
