      yes you ca weld up the aftermarket y-pipe to your stock exhaust...it will sound a little deeper and throatier possible, but it will sound virtually the same.

      if you do not have the money for both headers and a catback at the same time, get the catback because it will give you the sound you are looking for. then get headers later when you have the money
