• 2.5 inch catback or 3 inch catback

alright this is driving me crazy. I got a decision to make for which size exhaust. It seems that the best 3 inch firebird catbacks for the v8 won't fit my car. But, I'm no really positive. I'm interesting in B and B or Borla. But, I'm wondering what everybody thinks. Whats the best catback for a 1997 3.8 w68 that money can buy? I'm also not sure if the 3 inch or 2.5 inch is the best size. I plan on getting an electornic cutout too.

Oh man, this thread is going to go to hell in a handbasket if it's anything like the last thread that was attempting to determine the best size exhaust for our cars.

Before you get thrown into a world of BS, understand this - nobody has dyno sheets to prove which size is the best. So if this turns into a fart fest about which size is better, just know that nobody has cold hard facts to back up either side.

Listen to some clips and decide which one is best. That's about the only way to decide on which exhaust best suits you since there is no "best" catback.

if you're gonna have a cutout, you minds go with a 2.5" and then use the cutout at the strip. But yea maybe get some clips and see what you like better

i would still go with 3" for the sound and use the cutout for the track
