i have a flowmaster muffler with 3.5 inch tips on my car,im wanting a cai,but i dont want to waste the money if its not going to do much, becuase i heard a cai isnt really helpful until you get a full catback,i plan on selling the car sometime down the road,so would a cai show gains on my car,or should i not worry about it?

On their own, they both show gains. However, those gains are emphasized much more if you get the other.

I would definetly get a CAI. I had just a flowmaster muffler and then got the Cai,i noticed a nice increase in acceleration. Not anything thats gonna blow you away but i was happy enough.

theyre supporting mods so the more mods you have the more they will do for you (this goes for intake and exhaust)

Well the cheapest way to do it is the way I did it I believe. I got an 1Le elbow off ebay for 20 bucks and got a $50 wal-mart Honda civic mandrel bent piping w/ filter.

The mandrel bent 3" piping fits under the hood with no prob and the elbow bends enough to connect it. I had to go underneath the car to put the cone filter through but that was the only hard part. Thats the cheapest, easiest way I could find. An it sounds pretty good!
