engine has been misfiring a lot, 258 times on cylinder 4 to be exact. it's running way too lean thanks to a problem with the MAF sensor. it needs to be replaced.
first question: can the MAF sensor be replaced without taking apart the entire TB?
second question: my mechanic said nobody makes aftermarket MAF sensors, and he'll have to call around to the dealers to find one...any place i can find one online?
thanks for any info
Just unscrew it from the TB, no need to take anything else off.A dealer item, no aftermarket, try www.gmpartsdirect.com , might be cheaper than your local dealer.

YUP, dealer-only part. Easily unscrews. Gettin' mine replaced on Tuesday
Must be the season for dying MAF sensors.
I'd check the IAT sensor too...supposedly when the MAF goes, ther's usually a problem w/that too. (According to my A$$HOLE service advisor from the chevy dealership)
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
