It's tax return time and mine is going to exhaust. Im tired of my dynomax muffler and gutted cat and want it to be loud. I am buying pacesetter headers, a dynomax high flow cat and I need to decide weather b&b or borla cat back. I have heard great things about both. Also is the borla 3" cause im pretty sure the headers are 2 1/2 so I'd have to get a different size outlet. I need some thoughts on this.

The Borla is a 3" system...but it comes with a reducer so it will fit. I'd say to go with the borla because it's adjustable where as the B&B is not.
They're both about the same money and both are made out of high quality materials, either way you're getting a very good muffler system.Justin
2000 Black Firebird A4 Y87
170.2rwhp/203rwtq (SAE Corrected)

I totally agree. I heard them both and liked the sound of the Borla a tiny bit better but the thing that pushed me over the edge are those Borla tips. They are Amazing and very unique. But in any case, you will not be dissapointed with either system.

I agree, there both fine exhaust systems. Although i'm partial to my B&B. It really depends on personal taste.
As far as the triflow is concerned the looks, sound, performance, fit & finish is superb. No doubt about it. Has anyone tried the slp "loudmouth" exhaust that supposedly only fits 98-02 z28's??? It's the one that comes with a resonator and no muffler. I'm sure we can make it fit our single cat cars.2001 Arctic White Firebird
T-Tops, 3.42 rear gear stock
Mods:K&N Air Filter,Whisper Air Induction Lid, maf screen removed, raised air box, Kumho Ecsta 712 255-50-ZR16 tires, BMR stb
Mods not installed yet: FTRA, SLP Lsd/Differential cover
Near Future Mods: HPP3, GMMG 3\" Exhaust , 1LE Swaybars, Transgo Shift Kit, MSD-DIS-4 w/ Accel Coil-Packs, Turquoise Blue Neon Underbody Kit, BMR Adj. It can easily be made to fit. My mother has an 01 SS and I put the Loudmouth on it! With the LS1's the cat's are directly off the headers and then the y-pipe comes off of them into a single pipe for the exhaust. All you would need is a reducer.
I remember seeing a video of someone's v6 firebird with the loudmouth and it sounded pretty good.Justin
2000 Black Firebird A4 Y87
170.2rwhp/203rwtq (SAE Corrected)

Doesn't matter what size the headers are as your headers and exhaust do not connect into each other. Your concern will be what size inlet/outlet you get on the cat converter to match either the headers and/or exhaust. In either case reducers/expanders are available.94 Quasar Blue Z28
http://www.9t4z28.com
http://www.9t4z28.com/Dyno1.htm

Stagen, yeah i was saying that I would need a 2 1/2 inlet on the cat with a 3" outlet. That was my concern. I know that reducers and expanders are available but I didn't want to get into having to weld one onto the convertor or I pipe.1995 Pontiac Firebird 3.4L
TA front bumper, TA rear bumper, 98-02 Honeycomb tailights, GM Ram Air hood, 2k C5 18X9.5 Corvette rims all the way around, custom autoloc shaved handles, camaro two tone interior, silver badging, clear front marker lenses, RK sport headers, gutted cat, dynomax dual exhaust, Rear disc rearend, Richmond 3.73 gears, Zexel torsen LSD, Cross drilled front rotors, 2 12\" MTX thunder 8000s, Clarion 400W amp, MTX 5 1/4
Components, thunder 4262 amp, pioneer head unit, Hypertech power programmer (Yes it does exist)
