Has anyone ever made their own intake system? I recently built my own temporary intake using 3" semi-rigid dryer vent. I relocated my stock intake box behind the air dam by strapping it to my anti-sway bar and running the tube in the space between the engine and radiator. Sort of a poor mans ram air. I've noticed a difference in pick-up and sound when I stomp on it. Just a cheap "upgrade" untill I get my SLP Intake.

I have a REALLY good home made intake...i will take a pic of it and post it. It used to be on here but i don't know where it went. I have a 2002 camaro, i took everything off before the tb and then the screen. Then i put a 3 inch pipe in the tb and bent it to go straight down. It gets really fresh air and you can hear it sucking up when it goes by you, sounds really nice, i will video tape it so you can hear it if you want. Cost me like 25 bucks, and i get 10% better gas milage around town, used to get 20 and now i get 22. For the AIT sensor i drilled a hole in the pipe and stuck it in there, works like a charm. If you like what you see, i can make one for you.2002 M5 camaro- VTR CAI, custom cat-back exhaust, battery compacitor, pullie, lowering springs, 32mm sway bar, cross-drilled slotted rotars. 1-10\" L7 in cubby.
