  • 98 to 99+ Intake Swap?

What if I took the induction assembly from the 99-02 Camaros and swapped them into my '98, but removed the bellows by piping the assembly into my throttle body? Do you think it would work?

Here's a pic of the 99-02: (more or less just the filter cover and/or the first hose)

There's nothing to be gained by doing that.

    Just get a Whisper Lid.

yep...as above. if you have an air box already then do the smooth lid mod or by an aftermarket lid. you have an angled tb but you can still remove the air silencer and replace it with flex hose. you will just need some coupler to downsize from the lid to the flex hose and then a small coupler to mount with the TB. PVC pipes works great and is cheap. once you have that you can add a cold air ram set up or make one or alteast cut out the bottom of your air box and add a K and N.

I don't have a 98 style intake in front of me but check out this page. some of it may be similar einough to work or modify further to adapt to the angled TB.

          Okay, new question...

Will the hose coming off the intake lid on the 99+ fit on the 98's intake lid?
