even with a power adder you will feel alot slower down low. That will move your curve waay up. 2" true duals would be 4" total, my 3" (granted i dont have quite as much rwhp) moved my power up quite a bit. If you must do the true duals, about 11/2 would be all you'd need.
My 3" is overkill for a stock motor and i could definately tell the difference, but i am getting gears and a power adder which will add to my volume as well as putting the power where i want it. You will have almost twice as much size and you wont be able to put out the exhaust volume needed. Plus it may sound like crap.
It's your car and you may know exactly what your doing, so i wish you the best of luck and let us know how it goes. I hope i a wrong and it works awesome
yes 11/2 is small, but if you have 2 the same size it is 3" total. Good luck man, be sure to put up a sound clip when your done. Thats a nice looking camaro
Hate to be the one to introduce math here, but pi*r^2 puts 2 1.5" pipes at the same volume as a 2.12" pipe, or worse than stock. You would need 2.12" pipes in a true dual setup to get about the same volume as a 3" pipe. Dual 2.25" would be more practical as far as ordering, but would net you the same volume as a single pipe of 3.15" diameter. Someone check my math to make sure these quick calculations are correct before anyone tries it.
Hate to sound pedantic, but I wouldn't want this guy spending a lot of money just to end up with a system worse than stock.
For what it's worth, 2.5" duals would be the same as a 3.5" single.
