I have been thinking about buying some exhaust for my car. At first I thought about getting the 80 Series Catback but now I've been hearing that the American Thunder is pretty damn good. What do y'all think about both of these systems? And also what is an "I" pipe?

I'd have to vouch for birdman on this one. I watched this board for a long time before actually having the courage to say anything, because I had just gotten into cars and didn't really know what I was talking about... I still don't know every technical detail, but I know enough to where I feel comfortable enough to answer questions or at least join in the conversations. Not everyone's an expert, especially those just speaking up for the first time about something they want to know more about. Just a few months ago, all I knew is that I wanted my car to sound louder and meaner, so I decided to start learning. My point is, we all gotta start somewhere, so cut 'em some slack.\"The Bird\" - \'95 Firebird (3.8), White<br />Suncoat Creations RamAir Predator hood with SC airbox, 30th Anniversary Ram Air-style stripes, Wings West W-Type ground effects, Last of the Breed Anniversary Emblems, Carsound High-Flow Cat, SLP Loudmouth Catback w/ 3.5\" slash-cut tips, and much more to come.

Well I have had both. I've had just the 80 series muffler. (sounded aight down low but got ricey up high). Now I have the flowmaster cat-back which makes a world off difference. Now there is another note. I run without a cat converter. I can do that cause in Michigan we don't have emissions testing. Don't do this if you have emissions testing cause it's illegal. What you can do to make it sound real nice is get a dynomax bullet muffler to go in place of your cat. I have done that and red94camaro has done that. It sounds totally awesome. Not if you have emissions testing. Just get a high-flow cat. I haven't heard one with a high flow cat yet but I would imagine that it would sound good. Well this is getting lengthy so I hope this helps. I am on AOL instant messenger under o2blackbird if you wanna drop me a line. Later man\"I\'m going to torment you beyond the end of time, and hit you with a steamroller!\"
