Again, what exactly is the New Improved Ram Air Plate?
Again, what exactly is the New Improved Ram Air Plate?
Is this the piece of sheet metal that bolts to the rectangle funnel and the air dam?
Oh yeah, thanks Keith for the link but I already had it. Here's my FTRA, I'm trying to figure out if I have the new one or not. Mine didn't quite fit as nicely as the one on their site, I bought it for $100 used.

I'm not trying to be mean, but.... You answered your own question. The "new" ftra has only been out a few months. So the likely hood of having bought the "new" one used is very small.

So what is "new" about it? From the pictures on their site I can't tell anything. It looks exactly like mine. Does anybody actually KNOW the answer to this? Does anybody have a "new" FTRA?

I'll try to break it down real quick.. he's asking WHAT IS NEW, not IF HE HAS NEW, he knows he has the old... but as far as he can tell they are the same. So he wants to know what is different about the new and the old one.

An email to fast toys could answer that one. If the email addy is a sales@<fasttoys.net> or whatever. Don't mention that you already have one. Just ask whats "new" about it.
Looking at their site I believe the difference is the bend in the lower plate. But thats just a guess.

Thanks Skapimp, some times I don't fully get across what I'm trying to ask. I just emailed fast toys and asked all about it.
I don't think it's the angle difference that you notice in my plate and the one on their site, that's from me installing it wrong. It had an angle to it before I bolted it down without pulling it down far enough. I'll post the differences when they email me back so that everybody will know what is "new".

The newest version has an updated lower ram air plate. It basically has sides to the plate to divert more air into the ductwork. On the test bench, the new plate was worth 15% more average air flow. You can buy the new plate seperately for 28.99. A picture is attached.
Thanks

Personally 1 or 2hp isn't quite worth $30 but if I buy the stuff from like Home Depot and make it, I think it could be worth it. Before I bought it, I always thought the full funnel part went down further anyways, maybe I'll just some how extend that and maybe flare it out more.

For some weird reason the link doesn't work if you click on it. You have to open up a fresh IE window and copy and paste the location. Sorry but inspite of everything I tried, I can't figure out what's wrong with it.

don't be sorry, be sorry for geocities.. they suck.. if ever have a link to geocities you have to copy and paste, or in the new window just put a space after the whole url and then hit enter, it'll work that way too.

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
