  • did my exhaust get quieter once I added washers?

I have the stock single outlet muffiler and I have the wisper lid and together it didnt sound that bad when I got on it, I added like 4 washers to each screw the other day and to me it sounds quieter? I was going to take it out but I dont have time, is this true or did I just get so use to the sound that I dont hear it any more?

and also I have almost 14,000 miles, does the stock exhaust burn out like after market ones?
    Thanks

Did you raise the airbox... is that what you meant by ading the washers?

If so... I thought that mine got a little quieter when I raised my airbox.. except when I punched it, and got that nice vacuum sound.

I don't know if it got quieter, but the engine struggles less. That might be it.
