  • How to install the SLP Loudmouth...

I'm getting one used off of an LS1 guy. Can they fit on the 3.8 or does the muffler shop have to fabricate a pipe to make it fit? How much did it cost to get it installed?

you'll need an s-pipe to run from the cat to the exhaust. it only cost me 55 bucks to have it installed :D

ok. Most muffler shops should be able to do it themselves right?

I'm sure most muffler shops can make it for you. I bought my adapter piece online. From..... lets see.... here. Which is where I got my loudmouth from.

so is it necessary to buy the install kit with the hangars for $65 or will normal hangars work for it?

ok, the S pipe CAN be made at an exhaust shop.. the chances are, it will not be mandrel bent.

look at my sig. go on jegs and order the U pipe that i have.

tell them to cut it in half, and make an S out of it. it worked GREAT. the guy had no problem what so ever putting the puzzle pieces together, and the installation went smoothly.

its a 3 inch mandrel bent U pipe.. by the way

im believe jegs has a 2.5 inch u pipe as well..

              good luck..

and as for the install kit for the loudmouth.. i wouldnt know. sorry.

but what i do know.. is that an exhaust shop can put on hangers in any spot. they have the equipment for it.
