cat length??

Im gonna get a new catco cat soon.
I'm gonna get a 2 1/2" inlet and outlet,
but what size length should i go with??
12" or 14" ????

I believe the stock cat is 14 inches in length. I put a direct fit cat on so I didnt have to cut the new flange on my mid pipe but the cat is like twice as much ( as opposed to a universal). Yes length definately makes a difference it has to fit.

I'm getting my whole exhaust redone so fit really doesn't matter. I thinking about going with the 14" cat becuase i'm just getting a sweet-thunder muffler and it doesnt seem too restrictive.
