Whenever I make a semi hard left turn I can hear my i-pipe rubbing on the frame. I've seen a few camaros with some pretty rock solid exhaust, meaning it doesnt move around at all. I've had my car at the muffler shop a few times trying to fix the swaying of the exhaust in the back but cant seem to get it to stop. Any ideas?

Hmmmm... its the I pipe? Mine is pretty much clear of rubbing til u get to the over axle part... that part touches a bit but was pulled up by adding a hanger which i need to replace cause its sagging a lil now.
Maybe get stiffer hangers (cause like mine they re used one that came with the car and it was old and stretched out)... but can u tug on it and it will move? I can push either tip down with my foot and the back end will go down too... its pretty tight.1998 Silver Firebird
Basic mods... nothing real special but it sure looks good!
maleetpobanz.com

I recently found myself with the same problem. Before i got my rebuilt engine it was fine but after i drove it out of the shop with my rebuilt it rubs like CRAZY. I have to say its the most annoying sound i have ever heard, save for the knocking when i blew the motor haha. What i just did is put a rectangular rubber piece in between the cross member and the pipe, if thats where its rubbing. Worked like a charm!99 Pewter Firebird
Many mods coming soon....
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/847744
-----------------

Thanks for the replys, I may have to try some home remedy of sorts. Basically like you did with sandwhiching in a rubber piece between where its hitting.99 3.8 Camaro
Intake Mods: K&N filter, Whisper lid, free ram air, !air silencer, !maf screen
Exhaust Mods: Flowmaster 80 series, 3\" I-pipe, 3\" Cutout
Suspension: Intrax Springs (2\" drop)
Misc.: Fan switch mod, Hayden transmission cooler

I had a rubber piece in mine (over axle where it hits the heat shield) and that melted off.1998 Silver Firebird
Basic mods... nothing real special but it sure looks good!
maleetpobanz.com

I have two universal hangers on both tail pipes. Well, two on the drivers side tail pipe and one on the over axle pipe just before muffler (where bolted to the LT1 style hanger that came with the magnaflow catback and one hanger bolted to the passenger side tail pipe. All those hangers bolt up to the frame using oringinal hanger bolts and holes.
did you remove the S pipe hanger and not replace it? I used a 3 inch u bolt and a 90 degree piece of bracket to bolt directly to the rubber cushioned hanger mount from the stock s pipe configuration. If you have been under there then you know what I am talking about. It is a 'sideways' hanger.
