  • Volant Intake and a '98 Bird

I've got a 98 Bird and want to get the volant intake (volantperformance.com). It's says it's only for a 5.7, but it can be adapted to a 99+ V6, because of the straight intake. My questions are....can it be adapted for a 98 with a bent TB? Also, will it clear the stock hood?

i've heard ppl say it can be made to fit too. but noone has really said how hard it was, or if it was any better than a whisper lid.. i'd like to know too.

I didnt think it was all that hard and i would hardly call my self a mechanic!!! I really couldnt tell you the difference between that and the whisper lid becuase i never had one. So I can't help you there. it took me about an hour to put on once i figured out how i was going to do it
