  • Pacesetters are ALMOST DONE!!!! UPDATE- THEY WILL NOT LEAK!!!!

Alright, I am scheduling the test fit today. They are ready to market these things for 95-97 3.8s. They will also be for 98-02s, but I need some info first. Where are your guys' O2 Sensors, and also, where is your guys EGR Valve? They just need to make sure that its the same in all years.
    Quick help is MOST appreciated.

UPDATE - If you look at the preproduction pictures, HERE, you will notice that the "Flange" looks strange. Thats because its not a flange at all, Its a ball joint. The reason most headers leak is because of the fact that the motor vibrates and such, causing flex at the flanges, the flanges then start to leak.
The ball joint, on the other hand, will allow the motor and car to move without putting stress on the flange. There is a 2 bolt setup becuase it works best with the ball joint. There is NO GASKET to burn up or destroy, they will hold their own, I have been told there is a spring setup that allows the flange to flex, while keeping the mating surfaces tight together.
I cant wait for the test fit.

These things are in BOXES NOW, waiting for little old me to get in there and do a test fit so they can ship them. Actually I am waiting for a confirmed date to get down there, I cant wait!

Good to hear. I think the egr is in the same place. Driver's side front of the manifold. The O2's on my 99 are rear facing, roughly half way between the log and the flange.

egr valve is right off the #1 cyl's tube

I couldn't tell you exact placement.

O2 sensors are very close to the collectors. Should be about the same as the non-tubular manifolds

How come RKSport headers say they only fit 95-00 models? anyone have them on an 02 or an 01? Thanks
Alright, and will all catbacks fit all 95-02 3.8s?

Any 2001 or 2002 3.8 guys willing to go to pheonix for the making of a new catback? You will geta free catback if you let them use your car for a few days... They might test fit some headers too, so if you buy a set, they will probably install them free.

Do they do this throughout the week or can they do it on weekends too? There are many variables ;) . I might be able to do it but I wouldn't want to do it for another 2 weeks. I would want to leave on a friday and be there what 5 days and come back monday night - tuesday morning.

Completely stock. Infact on april 11th I Was going to get a new exhaust ;) but I might do this instead. What kind of catback is it?

Can you give me some more definite info like how many days they need it. (I work so I would have to take off). Is there anyone I can talk to?...Like I said it wouldn't be for another 2 weeks but I would definatly be willing if I get a shot at free installation with purchase of headers and a free catback ;) .
