Hey guys i got my cut out about a week ago and i went to my machanic for him to install it and he refused saying my car is to low. So i figure i go somewhere else with it. Do you think a chain like midas will install my cut out. Thanks

have you lowered the car? this is something that i actually dont think midas could screw up but they have proven me wrong before. it also depends on the way you mount the cutout, if you rotate it to the side a bit more then there wont be any issure i wouldnt think.

You should see the bottom of my car where the cutout has hit so many times. It's to the point now that I can barely get the cap off because it's deformed from smashing on the ground.

and? I'm pretty sure as long as its closed it's leagal. also a cop would have to get on their knees to see that and you if the cop takes the time to get on their show them what to do while they are down their.

I have mine at the back of the exhaust right before the pipe curves up over the rearend so it shoots straight out the back. Can't see it unless you are on your stomach and you aren't creating any clearance problems either.

ive had a person from midas tell me that its impossible to put a catback from a Z28 on a V6... so its really a shot in the dark if they will do it for you

no your car isnt too low at stock ride hight to install a cut out though, as stated above there is plenty of room where the I pipe curves up over the axle to fit a cutout (thats where mine is)

I had my 3'' cutout right before the over axle pipe, the car was also lower 2''. It scraped sometimes on speed bumps and such. You dont mount it with the Y pointing down, you make so its pointing out more. That will avoid most problems.
