Well, whatever you get it's mostly opinions here. I would think you get around 8-11 with other catbacks. The Tri-Flo is the only Dynoed proven one so far. Even with a Big Publication Magazine, there are still non-believers.
Don't knock it til you try it. I felt a big improvement and I WILL get my car dynoed in a couple of months.
As for reference, what does a stock M5 3.8 dyno for? ~160rwhp??

Some guy on the board raced his car after the b&b was installed, only a 10th of a seccond gain.

Hmm, maybe its driver skill...On my 97, I ran 16.1 stock, and then pulled off a 15.71 with just a dynomax rear section. That was with 3.08s and an open rear. I FEEL a bigger gain with the b&b catback compared to the dynomax. So I would say that I would gain at least 2 tenths off the b&b.

Don't mean to be a dick, but were the track/weather conditions identical on those two passes(with/without)?

Our cars are very susceptable to weather and track conditions... those variances are very normal for my car which is nearly stock with 3.08's.

I think dyno is the only true way to guage exhaust gains... unless you made 100 passes each under identical conditions in the 1/4

Yeap, they were almost exactly the same. Same track, same weather, ...People underestimate what happens when u free up the restrictions of an f-body...you just have to do it with the right combinations. I will goto the track prolly in May and see what I can get with my 01. Hopefully I'll pull some 14.9s
