  • Clean the throttle body?

I stumbled upon http://www.v6fbody.com/ and they had the tip of the day:

Make sure to clean your throttle body, at least every 7,000 miles with throttle body cleaner. Build up can drastically rob you of performance. On a V6 any drop in performance you can feel.

So..... Where is the Throttle body on a '98 v6 A4? HAHA sorry but would that make a difference, I dont kno much bout internal engine work and stuff, so Id figure id better not touch it. But i was just wondering.

Just take off the airbox lid and take out the filter, and spray it in there. It works on my moms' Maxima, so it should work on yours.

If you are gonna spray your intake with TB Cleaner, try not to hit the little sensor wire inside the MAF. It's a little wire that sits between two metal prongs, and measures the air flow going into the intake. It is extremely sensitive, and replacing the MAF will put a nice hole in your pocket.
