  • Stock Z28 exhaust

I am looking at picking up a stock Z28 or T/A exhaust from a buddy. If I can get it, what would you think is a fair price? I donna wanna cheat him, and he doesn't wanna cheat me, but he won't give it to me for free, since he wants to be able to put it back on if he sells the car (unless I buy it, then he would have to find his own). Does it bolt up correctly to my 99 v6, or would I have to have a muffler shop do it? Thanks.

Also, if I am looking into the pacesetter headers, would I be better off getting an aftermarket catback, or will the Z28 exhaust work? I am hopefully paying my car off next month, so it is time to start working on it a bit. Thanks guys.

Well, headers are different from a catback exhaust. They go from the engine to the cat. Also, how much of the exhaust are you getting from your buddy? If it is the full cat back exhaust, then that is fairly equal to a catback exhaust, say Edlebrock, but won't give quite the performance. Overall, it just depends what your intentions for your car are.
