HOPE THIS IS THE RIGHT AREA TO ASK THIS, does a aftermarket lid utilize the IAT? what if i disconnected this and made my own "lid", i broke out the fins in my stock lid, and the single fin at the boot, can i run a piece direct to the throttle body, eliminating the air baffle box aft of my lic. i did searches and couldnt find the exact answers i needed.

Yes an aftermarket lid uses the IAT. If you make your own lid you can drill a hole in the lid for the IAT to be mounted in.
