  • 3.8 sheet metal intake?

has anyone ever thought of trying to make a sheet metal intake? i was just sitting on the toilet and got to thinking.... why arent there any real performance intakes for us. then i remembered that i had heard of people making intakes out of sheet aluminum. has anyone ever thought of trying to mak one themselves? well if i can get a spare upper intake then i think i may try to do it myself with a little help from my grandfather. he used to be a machinist and he did hillclimbs on motorcycles. he used to make a lot of parts himself

                  They mean intake manifold. ;)
SSM makes them for Mustangs, but not for us.

There was a company a while back who was making metal ones, or at least starting to fab them up. I dont know their name but im pretty sure someone on the board was the test car and has one on there ride. Maybe they will chime in.

Hogans could build one but you'll probably spend 2000-4000 on it....building a sheetmetal intake isnt near as easy as it sounds, atleast not a good one...
