flowmaster catback, one pipe sticks out farther than other

i just installed the flowmaster american thunder catback system on my 95 3.4L camaro, and the right hand (as you look at the back of the car) pipe sticks out 1 inch farther than the other. the instal was done very well, with great care and attention, i have 2 ideas:
i will get a catco catalytic converter, which is shorter, will this cancel out the the length difference...
if not, i will cut and inch off the I-pipe to angle the muffler differently, therefore bringing back (towards the engine) the pipe

tell me what you think, and have experienced

why not just have the longer tail pipe trimmed?cut the tip off, and have welded back after trimming.

I just installed the same setup and noticed that too, but I think I'm gonna leave it alone. I don't think it's that noticable by other people but if you get it fixed I'd like to try it also.
