• MAF Screen?

Ok So this morning I went to check if my throttle body flap thing was opening 90 degrees (i'm tryin to do some little free stuff today on my car) anyway on one side there is this screen lookin thing like a screened in porch kinda screen... is that the MAF screen? I dunno much only enough to get myself into a heap of trouble I dunno if I wanna remove it or not I saw two peice of dried grass stuck on the screen (tiny tiny peices) and I was just wonderin if I had removed that then would it be safe? of course that could have been from where I changed out the filter to K&N filter and during that those little blades fell behind the filter and thats all... not sure BUT BACK TO MY ORIGINAL QUESTION is that the MAF screen?

Don't take it off. You have a 96 with an angled TB, so you'd probably get a rough idle and no gains from removing it. I took mine out, and it didn't do anything for me but give me a rough idle. Leave it in.

      Will do thanks

Oh and was it ok that I had a bit of watery oil in there? I noticed that when I pulled it off that little bit of what was runny and thin like water but has a oil smell to it was in there just a tad bit like a tablespoon or so... is that ok?

Like dood, do a search, we've had like 3-4 extensive posts on the MAF screen over the past week. Ive posted about the build up and others about the ups and downs on removal.
