I'm thinking of getting a Flowmaster muffler and some Z28 exhaust tips. I don't have the money to get the whole setup, so I'm just gonna do these two. Will this sound alot better than the stock muffler or do you really need the cat-back?

Basically, a catback is just a muffler, tailpipes with a bigger I pipe. Check with ebay. There are always people selling flowmaster and other exhaust systems dirt cheap plus, a used system sounds better than a new system anyway. ;)99 Camaro Z28 A4
R.I.P. 00 Firebird 3.8
14.89 @ 90, 2.03 60\'

My first mod was just the flowmaster 80 series. Although it doesn't sound as good as the entire cat-back system, it sounded much better than the stock one. I think it was worth the cash. Then I put on a cutout and I liked the way that sounded even better, and I only paid 60 bucks for the cutout and install.2001 3.8L Firebird M5
Flowmaster 80 series,exhaust cutout,catco hi-flow cat,tbyrne WRA,whisper lid,K&N filter,BMR LCA\'s,Ram air H.O. hood,3.73 gears with LSD 17\" by 9 1/2\" TT2\'s
Rockford 300s with 2 12\" JL audio W3v2 subs and JVC HU

the z28 tips are going to be the worst part of it. I know a guy that will bend a 3" cat back and flowmaster for $150. the tips are another $50 :eek:2001 Blue Firebird.
V6 M5. free ram air mod, 3\" pvc intake, Air temp module, 3\" exhaust, Dynomax 3\"straight through exhaust, O2 sim with off road pipe.
Kenwood kdc-mp919 head unit, kfc-628 and kfc-748 amps, Kicker I650 mids/highs, 12\" kenwood WS-303 sub
www.trafficjamzcaraudio.com
1500 years ago the world was the center of the universe. 500 years ago the world was flat. 15 minutes ago we were alone on this planet.
