the new 3800 series 3 has a new intake design made from aluminum and has a remote maf sensor have a look here

the gt guys dont have drive by wire so it wouldnt be an easy install for them but guess what i know us with 2000+ cars have drive by wire tb
the guy says he thinks the bolt patterns are the same

The 2004 Grand Prix GT with the Series III 3800 V6 (RPO L26) has a similar looking upper plenum to the L36, except it's made of aluminum. I instantly thought retro-fit, but the TB is different because of that silly drive-by-wire stuff, so withough extensive modifications, I don't think it would work.
