Sorry about taking so long to reply... The first thing I did was I had my old exhaust cut off, then the B&B welded on without the tips, I then drove home and used a dremel with a circle wheel to cut the outer edges of the GFX. I started at the top of the GFX cutout and the lower I got the more I cut out. I went from barly anthing at the top, to about a inch and a half to two inches at the bottom, its kind of hard to explain but you will understand what i mean when you hold the quad tip up to the GFX. You'll see that the tip hits the outside edge of the exhaust cutout. after that i drove back and had the tips welded on. I also had stronger hangers installed on the system so that it didn't bounce around as much. I hope this helps you out, if you need any more info, IM me at SFoote13 on AIM or AOL. I have a digital camera so maybe I can take some pics if you need em. Hope everything works out well, get ahold of me anytime.

659 + 175 = 834, ouch!!!
Could have had a nitrous kit.
This is the only problem I have with this cat back, its just sooo damn expensive!!!!
But, in a magazine (i forget if it was gmhtp or hpp) they dynoed a before and after and did gain 13 rwhp and 14 rwtq which is a HUGE gain for the v6!!!!
I've also heard it and it DOES sound REALLY good on the v6!!Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph
2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 12.125, 116.45
2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet

$175 for install!! Wow, I only paid $90. That seems like alot for a exhaust install, I would shop around, only thing is its hard to find a shop with a good welder.1998 3.8 V6 Black Firebird W68
Ask me about my mods if you really want to know...
Member of:
Street Lethal Performance F-body Orginization
www.streetlethalperformance.com
Check out my Bird
www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=321377

Or just do it yourself, it's really easy, hardest part is getting the old exhaust off. Took me 2 hrs total from start to finish. The exhaust comes with good clamps and I put some high temp. silicon on there between each section to ensure no leaks. Good luck.
