I´d like to go for K&N FIPK kit, and also some aftermarket exhaust.

I´d also like to go for 2,5" Flowmaster American Thunder cat back, what headers should I use with it? I´d also like to put straight 2,5" pipe instead of the cat rather than gettin a hi-flow cat. Is that worth it?
    Why does people say \"but it´s JUST a v6\" ???<br /><br /> <a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/crzygeekz\" target=\"_blank\">http://members.cardomain.com/crzygeekz</a>

If your getting a flowmaster catback don't waste your money on headers.

why not to use headers along with flowmaster catback? what would you recommend as a full exhaust setup, and the best one?

Get a 3'' setup instead of the 2.5'', And go ahead with the headers.

Flowmaster is NOT performance exhaust. 2.5" is not performance exhaust in my opinion either. Unless its a single 3" pipe going into two 2.5" pipes.

Why even bother "upgrading" to 2.5"?

well the flowmaster catback for the v6 has one advantage it doesnt sound like crap. I have heard a six with a 3" and it sounds good down low but give it any gas and it sounds like a honda. honestly I dont beleive you will gain much from any exhaust.just get headers and a cutout.

most of you recommend the 3", but won´t that hurt my gas milage???

I don´t think that I´ll get some huge gains on intake and exhaust, but I´ll at least feel something.I´d like some deep tone when flooring it, and also, I wan´t to be able to cruise on my car at 70 mph without goin crazy becouse of some loud exhaust noises!!! that´s why I´d like to go with the 2,5".

when i got mine the 2.5" set up was the one it came with so i just figured that all v6s use the 2.5 becuase htey arent v8s......and why s houldnt you get headers...i heard that they incrase proformance a bit and that make it sound better as well....also why is flowmaste not performance exhaust?

ok, no. If anything a 3" exhaust will improve mileage. the easier it is for your engine breath the better the mileage and the better the performace. it basically just makes your engine more efficient. now as for the 2.5 or 3" system i would go for 3" but i like performance more than sound quality for my exhaust. A 3" will rasp and a 2.5 wont, but you will see very little gains with the 2.5. If you really want performanc and want your car to look and sound good, get a Z28 take off exhaust and an electonic cutout to go in directly before or after your cat. when you want power you flip a switch and open it when you want to tone it down flip the switch again and close it, simple.

Flowmaster is not performance exhaust because it is utter ****, nuff said. As for us using 2.5" because we aren't v8s, that sounds like something an ignorant v8 owner would say. Do not open your mouth if you have no clue what your talking about.

You got a 2.5" setup because the guy before you didn't want to pay more money to have his stock exhaust replaced besides the catback or because he was just an idiot.

Yea i have flowmaster muffler but replaced stock i-pipe with the stock 2.75" i-pipe off of a Z-28.

and heres the setup that i have...

pacesetter headers ceramic coated, y-pipe, 3"in/out hi-flow cat, 2.75" flowmaster catback.

                            http://www.geocities.com/timmackman1...haustClips.mpg

copy and paste into URL.. but first couple seconds is from outside of the car, then the rest is inside.. first acceleration is around 3k-4k rmp, then 2nd acceleration is punching it from 30mph. would put it as video but would be too big to host on my site
