  • “Dual” exhaust on a v6 Camaro

I might be getting a 96 Camaro this summer to replace a 99 mustang that is not doing too well.
I do realize that true dual exhaust on a F-body is not really something that can be done but I want a better look than a little single black pipe coming out the back. Duals on the v6 stang are pretty straight forward and were very successful as far as looks and sound went, 2.25” straight back off the headers with 40 flowmasters.
I was just wondering how to get a better look out of the rear of the v6 camaro. I have looked around on the site and didn’t find anything. How does “duals” on an f-body.

Well you can do dual outlet exhaust. Most people here have that.

    Here are pics of mine.

So duals on a f-body is a single muffler deal? Inlet on one side with 2 outlets, one on each side.
Ok. What mufflers work for this? I used flowmaster 40’s on my stang and really liked the outcome.

If u want flowmaster, get 80 series with 3 inch piping.

u can run a true dual setup, but it'll take a little fabrication.

if you want good looking "duel" exhaust then you will love mine. this past friday i got my flows on. i went with flowmaster 80 series, and get 22 inch chrom truck tips that are 3 1/2 inch diameter and cut slanted. i swear it will look awesome, it does on mine. i know 22 inch truck tips may sound weird but they look a whole lot better than those short tips. and yes the s pipes have to but cut way down but that is no problem at all. i recomend finding a brake experts to install them. do not go to meineki!!! they tried to screw me over on exhaust wanting to put 70 and 50 series on my car. ill post some pictures of my exhasut real soon for you.

Well, I have plenty of pictures on my site too of some exhuast options along with sound clips. To get to the sound clips then just go to the Modifications page and then look under the Exhaust information and there's a link to Exhaust clips. Email me with any questions.

Yep Lane is the man. I'm getting mine done when the good tax return comes back this year, but I dont know if I would do it on a V6. Dont know if that would sound too good.
