I am wondering how big a job it would be to take out the manifolds from my 97 to replace them with tubulars off a 2002?
I have a shop I trust but I want to know what's involved because they've likely not worked on a car like mine before and I dont' want to have them spend more time and $ than they need to.
Thanks.

So the only problems you ran into were with the AC? I hope this isn't why you sold them to me ;)
:D

Yup that's the reason I sold them - I wanted to keep my AC. Try searching for my member number and "manifolds" in this forum if you wanna check out my "saga."
If someone can send me a picture of the passenger side of the engine I can tell you if it's the same. I know that 2000+ is different (duh), but I havn't been able to look at a 97+ car up close.
BTW - Did you pick them up today?

Hmmn, well, i'm going to see what my shop has to say, not before I p&p the heck out of them
I hope I dont' have the ac problems because i'm not losing my AC for anything! ;)
Stay tuned.
Haven't picked them up yet, still at work.

I'm pretty sure the ac changed in 97. I have a friend with a 97 and his is different from mine. The most recognizable difference is the bottle, the 97's have a larger one that doesn't narrow down as much at the top. The 96 and older have a smaller bottle with a skinnier top I believe.
Can any of you guys make some sense of and or support this idea?
