Hey, I was wondering if I were to use a dremel tool or something to cut out the baffle fins inside my airbox lid, would this be just as effective as like a whisper lid? If I can save $100+ and spend an hour or so carving that out it would be well worth it to me. What would you guys say? Buy the lid, or can I get the same gain by smoothing mine out? Thanks! ~Jason

its similar and a lot of people do it... the main part of the lid is to get rid of the air baffles that are between the lid and the tb... plus the whisperer lid is a little bigger to help flow more air... i say dremel the fins and get a piece of pvc and it would be a similar setup...
