first of all, yes it rumbles. by far the best sounding system sans headers i have ever heard on a 6. start up and idle are to die for.
highway driving- get it at 75 and keep ur foot barely on the pedal and it doesnt annoy at all. the sound barely penetrates the cabin if u get it right.
however there are a few things i need answered.
1. is it supposed to hang so low? has anyone bottomed it out before? i haven't and dont think i will, miami is pretty flat, but it DOES hang lower than any part of the car except maybe the front spoiler....and i do hit that on steep inclines/declines
2. the guy who did it didnt carry thru my y-pipe idea, saying i should wait until i get my headers. fair enough. however, he also said the 3 inch s pipe was overkill so he welded it to the stock 2.25 inch s pipe. i dont like the idea, so im going to take it somehwere else and get a 2.5 inch s-pipe and i figure that should be perfect for me right now, as my only mods *so far* are this and my lid/filter good idea? matt? anyone with the rumbler?
overall i like the system. i dont feel too much sotp diff, but that could be for 2 reasons.
1. the 2.25 inch stock s-pipe
2. i only hit it so far from about a 70 roll where our cars are pretty much pooped out anyway. i did notice that i got up to a buck 5 or so a bit faster. i cant wait to hit it from a dig or 1st gear 25 mph punch. THEN i can give you guys better butt dyno results.
dont get it if u dont like loud. i like, no love the car at low rpm's i def need headers because in a neutral rev it does get ricey up top, but compared to anything else i have heard its thousands of times better in that department.
now if only i had my headers and y......
