Does anyone know a step by step process to removing the heat shield on my 94' 3.4 A4? It's rattling like hell and I also want to shave weight.

I already told you how in another post you wrote about weight reduction i think. Grab some snips/cutters, go under the car (while running so you can see what exactly is rattling), locate the bastard, shut the car off and cut the clamp or ring that is holding it down. It should slide right off. Best thing i ever did. That rattle made me not even want to drive my car anymore!94 3.4L A4 white t-tops
moroso cai
3\"hi-flow pacestter exhaust
b&m shift kit
catco cat
01 T/A rear w/ 3.73\'s and posi
1 pc aluminum ds
blacked out signals

I.M.H.O. get some aftermarket stuff to put where that shield is, 'cuz it's gonna' get mighty hot inside where that exhaust goes through underneath.1992 Arctic White Firebird
3.1L V6, TB Coolant Bypass, CAI, Turbo Muffler, other little things.

http://www.geocities.com/colinobu/MyHomepage.html

\". . .Finger in the air and the flag still wavin\'. . .\"

You could just find the correct sized socket, place it on the bolt, and loosen it up and remove the heat shields that wayRace car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

Make sure that's what is causing the rattle. I've had two rattles on two different occassions and comptemplated taking the heatshield off, however there was no need to. The first was a loose antenna, and the second was a loose exhaust clamp.1998 3.8 Camaro A4,
B&B Triflow CatBack,Whisper Lid,
1987 s10 Blazer 350 V8 shift kit,
