I've switched the flange bolts from what Pacesetter provided me with the headers to all thread bolts. I've tighten these bolts sooo much that the flanges are actually bending. And they still leak!!! @#$%*!!! :(

Its a ball and socket connection so I can't really prevent it from the flanges bending when I try to make it have a tighter seal .00\' NBM Firebird~T-5
60\': 2.29 sec.
1/4: 14.7 @ 95.5 MPH
Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for me.

mine are leaking to Bene... I am going to try and tighten them tonight. Mine are also now tapping on the tranny where the y pipe goes across. I swear I will never buy cheap headers again... these Pacesetters are the WORST thing I have ever put on my car.

mine havent leaked yet, but i also made a template of my heads and had custom exhaust gaskets made out of K1000 gasket material, it withstands 1000* temperatures...i think i paid around $10 a setBlack 1998 Pontiac Firebird A-4 swap
271.4rwhp/259.4rwtq NA
13.30@102.44
www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98

I think he is talking about the flanges where the y-pipe connects to the headers WickedSix.
I fixed mine last night Bene... They were loose on both sides so much so that I could move them with my hand. I went and bought Grade 8 bolts that are threaded all the way and grade 8 washers and bought some locking nuts. I tightened the hell out of them and they don't leak right now and hopefully they will hold. It's so nice to be leak free... now I just need to fix the steering linkage rubbage. I swear... I have had to basically rebuild these headers, sucks rhinoceros cawk.
