  • Questions about TB Spacer

Hey, I'm thinking about getting one of these but had questions about them.
    1) What kind of performance increases does it actally give?

    2) Does it have any effect on gas milage (i'm a poo college boy) either positive or negative? and

    3) I noticed that the reason GM does route the coolant throught the TB is to heat the air so it won't freeze in the intake. What's the coldest you can safely drive with the spacer with out worrying about freezing?

    Thanks for the help,
    Rob

There have been posts here stating that throttle response was better and that it pulled a better in the upper RPMS. It is not like putting a cam in, but it compliments other small mods like FRA, etc.

    NONE.

Remember, GM sells cars in Alaska, Canada, etc. It is there for these extreme climates. I have driven in low teens weather with no problems. As far as giving you an actual number as to when the TB will freeze, I can't. But logic would tell you that it would be well below freezing since the TB is sitting in the engine bay. If you are unsure, it is fairly simple to remove and reinstall during warmer weather.
