I am very interested in purchasing a Texas Speed Rumbler with a set of Pacesetter ceramic coated headrs, but i want to know if you need the "S" pipe for it like you do for the Loudmouth? Also what is the best cat to purchase to go along with this setup?

yes you have to buy a s-pipe and a catco cat is good but im not sure. i have heard a couple people having problems with them clogging soon but i think its a non-common problem

After some thinking im not so sure the extra 300 some dollars is worth it for the headers. Can anybody convince me that it is, otherwise im sticking to stock manifolds.

Patricularly if you're planning on running an aftermarket heads/cam setup later on, or a power adder I would definitely suggest the headers! They do flow quite a bit better than even the 00+ tubular manifolds, and wake-up even a mostly stock vehicle.

And yes, you'll still need the SLP adaptrer kit for $69.99.

Part number 30045. It makes it possible to run any of your LS1 catbacks on the V6/LT1 cars with one cat such as ours.

So this adapter kit just step up to the LS1 catback pipe size? So, lets say I've got a 3" cat that goes back into the stock S-Pipe (temporary) and decided to get a 3" LS1 catback here in a couple days. Would you tell me to get the adapter and keep the stock S-Pipe, or is there a better solution (since the stock pipe is restricting a lot).

Our stock one is 2.25", very restrictive! It also is not the right shape entirely, as the pipe does not exit at the right spot.
