Anyone bypass 3.4L egr?

Basically I know it will throw codes, I just tired some JB weld let it dry for 12 hours. fired car up and burned it off pretty damn quick same problems as before.

I wired the egr pipe to the upper intake to the EGR to avoid intake leak problem, and have a bungee cord hooked to AC lines and STB.


Anyone bypass it? What did you guys use to block off the exhaust manifold?

And do you think if i just left the EGR hanging to the side harness hooked up but pipes not hooked up.

I am sure with the crappyness of the 3.4l EGR and the amont of money a new costs others are thining the same thing.

I need a new EGR valve too and I can pass inspection without it working properly but I don't see a point in blocking it off. At WOT it is closed. (which is where I my car starts throwing codes) But if you want to block it off, I would just make an 1/16" steel plate with two holes in it to go between the plenum and tube.

I am looking to bypass it because somehow it snapped a bolt by itself, and is looking very difficult to get the bolt out, and I figured blocking it off while its still functional woudln't be a problem, i am just looking to see doing it without throwing codes.

BTW no emission laws in florida so that is not problem.
